Sell-Out Fireworks Spectacular Celebrates Community Spirit in Feniscowles

Cllr Paul Marrow

Feniscowles Recreational Ground was alive with excitement on Friday evening as a sell-out crowd gathered for a spectacular fireworks display, bringing families, friends and neighbours together for a memorable evening of community celebration.

Organised by the Feniscowles Recreational Group, the ticketed event proved a tremendous success, with every ticket sold and local residents turning out to enjoy the fireworks and festivities.

Among those helping to make the evening a success was Conservative Councillor Paul Marrow, who represents Livesey with Pleasington and also serves as a trustee of Feniscowles Recreational Ground.

Rather than simply attending the celebrations, Cllr Marrow was actively involved in working alongside fellow trustees and volunteers throughout the evening, supporting the successful running of the event.

Cllr Marrow was warmly recognised and greeted by many residents during the festivities, reflecting his longstanding involvement in the local community.

The evening also saw Cllr Marrow meet Blackburn's Independent MP, Adnan Hussain, providing an opportunity for both elected representatives to come together at a popular community event.

Community Spirit in Action

Also attending was Matt Diffey, Membership Secretary of Blackburn Conservative Association, who purchased a ticket to enjoy the evening but also lent a helping hand with housekeeping and clean-up activities, supporting those working behind the scenes.

Reflecting on the evening, Matt Diffey said:

"What a fantastic evening for Feniscowles! It was wonderful to see so many families and neighbours coming together and enjoying themselves.

I attended as a paying guest, but I was only too happy to roll up my sleeves and help with some of the housekeeping and clearing up. Sometimes it's the little things we do that make the biggest difference.

I didn't realise Cllr Paul Marrow is such a local hero! He is someone who quietly gets on with supporting his community, often working behind the scenes without seeking recognition. Seeing him tonight, actively helping to make this event happen while being greeted by so many local residents, says a great deal about the contribution he makes to Livesey with Pleasington.

The real credit belongs to the trustees, organisers and volunteers who put so much time and effort into making events like this happen. This is what community spirit is all about, and Feniscowles should be incredibly proud."

A Fantastic Success for Feniscowles

The success of the evening highlighted the importance of Feniscowles Recreational Ground as a valued local facility and demonstrated how much can be achieved when residents and volunteers work together.

While the fireworks provided the entertainment, it was the dedication of the Feniscowles Recreational Group and everyone who contributed their time and effort that made the evening possible.

The Blackburn Conservative Association extends its congratulations and thanks to the organisers, trustees and volunteers for delivering such a successful event and to Cllr Paul Marrow for his continued support in the community.
