'Unfair' Funding Queried

Cllr John Pearson has queried why the Council is providing £40,000 to refurbish a sports facility in a Labour-held ward - and paying for future monitoring and upkeep of the facility - when Cherry Tree Cricket Club and Feniscowles Recreation Ground in Livesey with Pleasington ward receive nothing from the Council.

If the Council is prepared to pay for the upkeep and monitoring of sports facilities then that is great, but they should be doing it fairly for all areas of Blackburn.
