Local resident and Conservative activist Tommy Temperley has secured traffic calming measures for Lammack Road after a petition he started was signed by over 290 residents.
Tommy started the petition after regular accidents caused by speeding left residents fearful.
The government has given the Council a grant of £56,788 to introduce 3 new bus routes for the Borough.
One route will run between Darwen and Blackburn town centre via Lower Darwen, Guide, Royal Blackburn Hospital, North Road and Audley Range.
